In winter 2024, an EcoBlitz was conducted in Olongapo, Philippines, through a partnership with the Philippines National Geographic Explorers Community Hub and participating teachers in Olongapo, Philippines. The data collected through the iNaturalist findings is linked here.
In 2023, the EcoBlitz Microcredential Course #23865 was offered through the Cal Poly Humboldt College of Extended Education & Global Engagement from March 1, 2023 to May 1, 2023. EcoBlitz expanded to Florida through the participation of the School District of Palm Beach County. In addition, students from the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, and the Hoopa Valley Reservation also participated. See iNaturalist findings here: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/ecoblitz-2023. In 2022, as a result of feedback from previous participating teachers in 2019, EcoBlitz transitioned from in-person delivery to an online professional development course for in-service teachers. With infrastructure and funding support through the NAAEE CEE-Change Fellowship, the pilot for the EcoBlitz Microcredential class was offered through Teachers College of San Joaquin, from March 1, 2022 to May 31, 2022.
